More International Attention for the MMP

Looks like KirkBhoy got some more Romanian lovin’ last night.  Too bad the Romanian press can’t tell the Inferno from Los Toros.  [Then again, can most FCD fans?]

I’d translate it (with Gigilino’s help), but it’s another blatant ripoff of the MMP.  From Prosport.ro:

Only a matter of time before a Fatwa is issued in Romania requiring your immediate execution (and your mother too) for blaspheming the name of Adrian Mutu and his mole..

Prsoport said that FC Dallas`s fans said that they advise Toja to not come in Romania because of all that reasons, one of them being Adrian Mutu ( who got drogs)
Don`t worry…i`m from romania and i know how stupid are our journalists ;)

Okay, if this REALLY does happen, I’m happy for JT. However, I will be FURIOUS at Hitch and Co. for the silence on their side of things. Please, just say SOMETHING before my head exploded! :S

Read the coaches comments on 3rDegree…do you think Hitch knows anything more than the coach?

Yeah, this quote gave me pause:

I think there’s interest in Juan.

    O RLY?

Steaua president Valeriu Argaseala told at sport.ro television that Toja will fly friday to Romania to sign Steaua contract. He will be presented saturday, when Steaua will play against AS Roma. So, the deal is 99.99% done because FC Dallas it’s happy with our (Steaua) offer.

Our Romanian translator is a co-worker, so you can either:
    1. wait till tomorrow when I see him at work, or
    2. use http://translate.google.com (which does ok Romanian, though sometimes kinda crazy)

i can translate about 60% of the romanian — but i get thrown by the prepositions… *sigh* another language to learn, i guess.

In ProSport is an interview with Toja:

-Are you happy to play for Steaua?

Yes, like I said few days ago my dream was to play in Europe and now I have the chance to play for one of the biggest team in the world. Steaua is a big club, the won the Champions League and this year his goal is to play in group faze of Champions League. Is the most important stage of my life

-This year you didn’t play so well at FC Dallas…

Is hard to play everytime at the same level. My first season at FC Dallas was great. I played very well and the team had beautiful results. This year everyone expected for me to play at the same level. I played well, but not very well.

-You leave the United States for Romania

America is a beautiful country, with a high level of life, but in Romania it’s the real football. I’ll go to Steaua to work, I am not a party addict. At Steaua I will meet my teamates, Zapata and Dayro

    -Did you talk with Zapata?

Yes, he spoked very nice about Steaua and he said that the fans are very fanatics. For me will be hard to learn the language, but, anyway, I am happy to play at Steaua. Two days ago i’ve accepted their offer.

-When you will come to Bucharest?

-I don’t know right now, but I hope to be very soon. Today (yesterday i guess) I’ll go Toronto and I’ll be back friday in Dallas. I don’t know if I can be saturday in Bucharest

sorry for my bad english if i made some errors.

  14. By Nathan on Jul 24, 2008

Not bad Criss. You’re better understood than I am at times - looking knowingly at other toros -

    @ For the Americans

I am apologise, guys, for some stupid remarks of the Romanians! I respect United States as a country and I wish welcome to Toja! The transfeer fee was around 2 mil of dollars, 1.5 mil of euros …
