How funny!

I’m amazed that I can laugh right now.

Last year was my first full season really following FCD. And the two biggest reason that I became a diehard fan are Juan Toja and Kenny Cooper. Yes, it’s been a “fan girl” thing on top of it for JT, but watching him play totally hooked me into learning as much as possible about soccer. And Kenny? . . . he was at all of the soccer camps and is just the most AWESOME person. We’d visit practices last season, when he was rehabbing on the side, or just watching the team, and HE started talking to my 11-yr-old. So she knows him well enough to run up and give him a hug. In fact, ALL of the people we got to know last year from clinics and camps are soooooooo nice. Chris Clarke is a fantastic coach!

So I would NEVER have thought it possible that FCD management would do its best to destroy the passion this season. Wow . . . I won’t give up on the team, but given all of the rising costs of gas and other things, kids in school, etc. It’s getting harder and harder to imagine spending that kind of money on renewing our season tickets . . . and I NEVER thought I’d be saying that . . .
